Stemming from a collaboration between Il Colorificio and Casa Testori, “Ma allora, perché m’ha fatto venir qui?” is a research project aimed at investigating sexual representation, starting from Giovanni Testori’s work. The project is articulated in two solo shows – Francesco Tola at Casa Testori and Giovanni Testori at Il Colorificio – as if both artists were trying to answer the title’s question, the same that Lino addresses to Eros asking for the reason of their meeting in the dark of the meadows around the quarry, in the play “L’Arialda” by Testori. The exhibitions activate a process of negotiation of the author’s imaginaries in light of the present time. They are accompanied by an in-depth research by Mariacarla Molè on the representation of eroticism in Testori’s production.

“Ma allora, perché m’ha fatto venir qui?” è un progetto di ricerca volto ad indagare le identità e le rappresentazioni sessuali a partire dall’opera di Giovanni Testori, frutto della collaborazione tra Il Colorificio e Casa Testori. Il progetto si articola in due mostre personali – Francesco Tola a Casa Testori e Giovanni Testori negli spazi de Il Colorificio – come se gli artisti provassero a rispondere alla domanda del titolo, quella che Lino rivolge ad Eros chiedendo spiegazioni sul motivo dell’incontro al buio nei prati intorno alla cava nell’opera teatrale testoriana “L’Arialda”, in un processo di rinegoziazione degli immaginari alla luce del tempo presente. Il progetto è accompagnato da un approfondimento sulla rappresentazione erotica in Testori da parte di Mariacarla Molè.
